Take Control Anger Management Facilitator

The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center located in Derry, NH is a 501C(3) non-profit organization, committed to creating educational programs and services to strengthen individuals, families and the community.   Founded in 1986, our organization has provided support, services, education and resources to all who inquire.  Our center is a warm and welcoming place, striving to foster a sense of belonging and purpose, while providing information and guidance to strengthen children and families, and build a stronger community.

To provide an Educational Curriculum, and support to students taking the Take Control  Anger Management Course.

  • Preferable Master degree in education/counseling/social work.  Bachelors + 2 years exp w/at risk adolescents, or LADC/Mental Health experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate groups
  • Strong Facilitation Skills

  • Ability to manage Teens

  • Understanding techniques and skills to manage anger 

  • Evening Program facilitation

  • Facilitate a 10-hour program following the Take Control curriculum
  • Setup and prepare all materials for the workshop
  • Turn in attendance roster to Adolescent Wellness Program Coordinator each day
  • Write individual participant evaluations and recommendations at  program conclusion
  • Maintain contact with AWP Coordinator as necessary to effectively coordinate services for clients
  • Act as role model for students
  • Provide resources as deemed appropriate
