Admissions Coordinator

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based mental health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a part-time Admissions Coordinator in our counseling center, Riverbend Counseling Associates. The Admissions Coordinator will be working three, 8 hour days between Monday and Thursday.
 
As an Admissions Coordinator, you will be a member of an administrative team of support staff who work with clinical staff and clients in a variety of capacities. We’re looking for a team player with a warm and welcoming  presence who has excellent computer skills, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a great diversity in duties and the ability to grow within the position and the overall organization.

Requirements:

•         High school diploma or equivalent
•         Two years’ experience in diversified office work required
•         Experience with health insurance billing procedures preferred
•         Experience with scheduling and client intakes in a mental health setting preferred

Responsibilities:

•         Answer incoming calls and make outbound reminder calls to clients
•         Conducting telephone intakes
•         Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations
•         Conducting orientation appointments with new, incoming clients
•         Discussing financial obligation to clients prior to appointment
•         Ability to determine program appropriateness and refer out if necessary
