Executive Associate and Assistant to the President

Position Summary
Provides executive level administrative support to the President and VP of Administration; coordinates and manages support for the Board of Directors and other key stakeholder groups that include the President and CEO.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting a Chief Executive or other senior leader.
• Relevant experience working with or supporting a nonprofit Board of Directors
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing
• Experience in a wide range of technology and ability to learn new technologies and tasks quickly
• Strong computer and technical skills, including MS Office products, email, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, and routine database activity
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks/projects, as well as prioritize tasks within projects
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work well independently, as well as collaborate with others in a wide variety of internal and external settings and situations
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
• Volunteer management experience preferred; but not required.
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
• Develop and strategically manage the President’s schedule, including internal meetings, in-state and out-of-state travel, speeches and meetings with key stakeholders.
• Arrange and/or prepare for meetings, speeches, and events; ensure prompt follow-up actions as needed; attend certain meetings and events with the President
• Prepare and maintain briefing materials for President’s daily schedule including items such as background information, logistics, directions, and remarks. 
• Organize and manage electronic and hard copies of documents, publications, reference notebooks, and other materials for efficient use by the President
• Support the work of the Board of Directors, including the Governance and Executive Committees by coordinating meeting schedules, directing the preparation of meeting materials, recording minutes and assisting with board evaluation.
• Provide administrative support to the President’s office, including management of expense reports, credit card statements, mail, correspondence lists, update outlook contacts, filing and recordkeeping and other items or special projects as requested
• Perform as key point of contact for Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
• Participate in the work of the Regional Advisory Board Coordinating Team as needed.
• Under the direction of the Vice President of Administration, manage the process of National Standards Accreditation annually; Recommend updates to policies and procedures to reflect National Standards recommended best practices.
• Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness when interacting with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in special projects and perform other tasks as assigned
