Resource Center Specialist

Community Partners, Strafford County’s premier behavioral health & developmental services provider, links people to the long-term supports and services they need to a live a full life in this community. Our nonprofit agency emphasizes delivery of quality social services to the people who need them. In order to do that we need employees who want to be proud of the work they do every day. 


Resource Center Specialists (RCSs) connect individuals in need of assistance with appropriate services. Some of the services may link an individual to: financial assistance, disability-related services, medical programs, rehabilitative services, vocational rehabilitation, legal assistance, housing assistance, support groups, disaster relief, food pantries, home-delivered meals, in-home assistance, and other organizations that would empower individuals to live independently within their community.

This 40-hours/week position offers a wage range starting at $14.90 per hour and a generous benefit package including paid time off, health and dental insurance, retirement planning, and opportunities for growth within the agency.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Human Services (or related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Education, etc.) PLUS a minimum of three years’ social work or case management experience (preferably in the areas of aging, disabilities, community health, nursing home or hospital discharge planning) are required. Alliance of Information Referral Specialist (AIRS) certification is also required. If not currently certified, must become certified within one year of hire. Experience working with older adults and or adults with disabilities is preferred. Experience in customer relations, call management, information and referral or related field that includes phone skills and preliminary assessment and triage ability of contacts is preferred.

As local travel is a requirement of this position, candidate must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, proof of adequate vehicle liability coverage, and reliable transportation.

All candidates must pass a background check which includes criminal and driving records.
