Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

The Applied Behavioral Analysis Program’s BCBA works with Community Partners Directors and a team of Behavioral Technicians to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) services for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts. The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Director of Early Supports and Services.

  • Masters or PhD plus 2 years’ related experience
  • Current Board Certification as BCBA
  • Early Childhood, Autism and/or special needs experience
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Aptitude to identify specific approaches or strategies that must be implemented to reach realistic objectives/goals.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and in a team environment
  • Written and verbal communication skills; the ability to effectively advocate for ideas and influence internal and external audiences
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must possess current and valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, at agency standard.
  • Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measures
  • Develops individualized treatment plans for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on assessment data
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
  • Trains and supervises Behavioral Technicians on the proper implementation behavior programs and treatment plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems
  • Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation
  • Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Community Partners policy and state and federal regulation
  • Is accessible to and collaborative with all agency staff, as appropriate, including; behavior technicians, BCaBAs, other agency program managers and directors
