Genesis Behavioral Health (GBH) is the community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties.  We provide services to over 23 surrounding towns, and over 3,000 patients each year. A non-profit, private corporation founded in 1966, Genesis Behavioral Health is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to our mission. We provide comprehensive mental health services that promote recovery from mental illness and emotional distress to children, adults, elders and their families. We provide the highest quality of healthcare and continue to improve by having a dedicated team that provides 24/7, 7 days a week emergency services. Working in partnership with other health care providers, hospitals, law enforcement, corrections, courts, school districts, social workers and public health officials, we are able to provide a continuum of care for our clients and improve the quality of life in the Lakes Region.

The Supported Employment Specialist will provide consumer driven, recovery informed direct individual and group supported employment services to patients. They will interface with the community and within the agency to ensure continuity of care and high quality comprehensive services. 


Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services area with emphasis in mental health and/or vocational rehabilitation and 1-2 years’ experience; other combinations of education and experience may be substituted. Also must maintain personal auto insurance. Valid NH driver's license.


• Provide supported employment and vocational case management services to patients.
• Provide direct and indirect services that actively facilitate competitive job acquisition and retention based on patient preference and abilities.
• Provide on-site job support and supervision as indicated.
• Conduct job development activities.
• Investigate and follow up on employment and training opportunities for patients while maintaining records of employment resources.  Share these with the Team Members, patients and others as appropriate.
• Provide Case Management and Functional Support Services as appropriate.
• Promote independent and productive habits of patients in the community.
• Represent the patient/program/agency positively within and outside the agency.
