General Description

To increase Granite United Way’s revenue, primarily in the Southern and Merrimack County regions, in order to achieve GUW’s community impact goals. The Campaign Ambassador (CA) will be responsible of a portfolio of corporations and will assist in all aspects of the fall campaign. This is a seasonal part time position and will report to the Assistant Vice President of Philanthropy.

The CA also works closely with the Director of Development; Southern and Merrimack County as well as the entire Resource Development team, Marketing and Communications, Community Impact, and Finance staff members. Must have reliable transportation, willingness to travel throughout the state of New Hampshire, and ability to attend occasional events/meetings in the early morning and/or evening as needed.


This is a seasonal part-time position that will be available from September 4th through December 1st. Approximately 30 hours per week, but may vary due to workload, schedule, etc.


Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  1. Bachelors Degree or 1-3 years experience in community investing, sales, or fundraising.
  2. Excellent donor relationship and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong business presentation skills.
  4. Ability to lead, as well as work within, a team to ensure organizational growth and success.
  5. Strong facilitation skills and collaborating skills.

This position requires the ability to:

  1. Minimal requirement to reach at or above shoulder level; occasional reaching below shoulder level required.
  2. Hand manipulation - equipment and controls, frequent; grasping and handling, occasional.
  3. Ability to travel throughout the territory required.
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include night and weekends.
  5. Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting and/or standing and to lift up to approximately 25 pounds to waist high level whenever necessary.
  6. Mobility includes regular sitting, some standing, and walking.

  • Attend United Way training to become familiar with and develop the ability to communicate United Way goals, philosophies, and needs.
  • Manage portfolio of corporate accounts – working with each company to plan and implement successful United Way campaigns.
  • Make presentations to a variety of stakeholders to share Granite United Way’s work in the community and inspire individuals to give.
  • Work collaboratively with Resource Development team to manage presentation schedule as well as pledge card distribution, collection, and processing.
  • Weekly updates and reports to Resource Development Director.

Other Duties

  • Ability to represent GUW at social, civic and business events. Some of which are outside of general business hours.
