Position Overview:

The Member Services Coordinator collaborates with the program team to support individualized membership and family member needs within our group-based model.  In addition to conducting outreach to referral sources in the community, the Member Services Coordinator responds to inquiries, facilitates the intake process, supports new members’ acclimation to our program, and connects members and their families to community resources. This is a part-time, 30-32 hours per week (M, T, W, F), benefits-eligible position.   

Requirements:

Education & Related Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred; bachelor’s degree in allied health, human services, or related field considered based on social service experience.
  • Minimum of three years client services experience required; work with low-income population and/or people with disabilities preferred.
  • Experience working with brain injury survivors and their families a plus.

  • Stellar interpersonal skills.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to immediate and long term client and project needs in a busy work environment.
  • Positive outlook, empathic, and collaborative in style.
  • Microsoft office proficiency.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Routine office environment.
  • Some nights / weekend work required for special events.
  • Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and adequate insurance.
Responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Membership Support

  • Conducts intake process, from responding to inquiries, assessing needs and fit, coordinating visits, completing documentation, determining scholarship, and finalizing membership.
  • Communicates and facilitates exchange of information regarding potential and new members with program staff and interns.
  • Coordinates internal support services for new members as they adjust to program and environment.
  • Collaborates with program staff to support members with personal goal planning and assistance connecting with community resources, and provide resources and support to family members.
  • Provides supervision of undergraduate human service intern(s) in support of member services.

Outreach

  • Conducts outreach plan, including communicating and disseminating information about the program and services, and coordination of and collaborating on presentations.
  • Maintains contact database, including the development and maintenance of a tickler system.

Other Duties

  • Produces reports regarding outreach, client referrals, membership conversion and retention, membership participation, and related data, as requested by Program Director.
  • Manages member fee and scholarship program.
  • Supports day to day program needs as member of program team.
