Afterschool Programmer

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire provides afterschool programs, summer day camps and basketball leagues to 1300 youth throughout the central New Hampshire area including Concord and Laconia areas. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who most need us, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.  We offer a safe place to belong, caring adult mentors and programs covering everything from academics and leadership development to physical fitness and healthy habits.

Join a fun team and do something you love! We are looking for one individual with youth development experience and experience running a wide variety of National Boys & Girls Club programs. Join a fun team and help kids succeed in school and grow into caring, responsible citizens. This is a regular, part time position. The typical day would involve working with both the Franklin Boys & Girls Club and running an enrichment program with the Franklin Recreational Department an hour a day, between the hours of 4:00p.m and 5:00p.m.


Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma and meet the following State of New Hampshire Childcare Licensing Bureau's requirements for a group leader:
(1) Experience working with school-age children.
(2) Documentation of at least 3 credits in elementary education, human growth and development, behavior management or early childhood education.

Qualified candidates also will demonstrate the following:
-Ability to plan, implement and supervise activities and special events for elementary school aged children
-Must be self-directed, able to work independently
-Strong conflict resolution & positive role modeling skills
-Ability to encourage student participation


Prepare Youth for Success

  • promotes and stimulates program participation
  • assists in orientating new members to the Club rules and daily scheduling 
  • provides guidance and role modeling to members

Program Development and Implementation

  • Effectively implements and administers programs, services and activities for members. 

  • Monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities to ensure Club and child safety, quality programs and good appearance of the branch/site at all times. May be asked to track and assesses outcomes through periodic activity reports.

Pay is negotiable based on experience, between $12.00 and $15.00/hour.
