Facilities Maintenance Staff

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire provides afterschool programs, summer day camps and basketball leagues to 1300 youth throughout the central New Hampshire area including Concord and Laconia areas. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who most need us, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.  We offer a safe place to belong, caring adult mentors and programs covering everything from academics and leadership development to physical fitness and healthy habits.

The Facilities Maintenance Staff is responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire facilities.  Responsibilities include performing repair and maintenance work around the buildings, grounds and equipment. 

  • Professional demeanor
  • Two years of experience in building maintenance and repair. Experience should include carpentry, electrical, plumbing and ability to utilize various types of equipment.
  • May be asked occasionally to come in on off hours depending on the needs of the Club
  • High work accuracy work and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, building codes, and safety issues
  • Working knowledge of proper storing of chemicals
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Must be willing to travel between locations when requested (Only occasional travel may be required)
  • Must be a team player
  • Must submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and submit to a background check through State of NH Criminal Records Dept. and FirstAdvantage
  • Ability to lift or push up to 75 pounds
  • Might be exposed to extreme heat or cold
  • Repairs, maintains and implements necessary improvements to the building, equipment and grounds
  • Maintains a safety conscious attitude in performing duties
  • Maintains appearance of the building; responsible for painting, wall washing, washing of the outside and inside windows, carpet vacuuming and additional maintenance services when needed.
  • May need to fill in when Club’s custodian is absent
  • Maintains grounds including lawn mowing, snow removal, salting, weed whacking, etc. 
  • Cleans and maintains equipment
  • Maintains inventories of supplies and makes new purchases when necessary
  • Assists in maintenance requirements for special events
  • Makes sure that the gym floor is cleaned and polished; performs finishing and buffing of the floors throughout the building as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
