Food Services Coordinator

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire provides afterschool programs, summer day camps and basketball leagues to 1300 youth throughout the central New Hampshire area including Concord and Laconia areas. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who most need us, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.  We offer a safe place to belong, caring adult mentors and programs covering everything from academics and leadership development to physical fitness and healthy habits.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire seeks a new team member to be responsible for the overall implementation of the USDA sponsored CACFP at-risk after school snack and dinner program, as well as supervision of the Lakes Region Branch kitchen and cafeteria on a daily basis.

This is a year round position and requires between 25-28 hours per week, generally scheduled between the hours of 2 pm -7 pm, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate skills in the areas of supervision, program management and communication. He/she must be able to relate effectively to youngsters and the public in general.

Requirements:

-Must be at least 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Food service education a plus. Food Service Certification required (will train the right person)
-Prior food service, menu planning and youth work experience a plus. Prior experience with CACFP a plus.
-He/she must be able to demonstrate skills in the areas of supervision, program management and communication.
-He/she must be able to relate effectively to youngsters and the public in general.
-Must submit health forms, and must submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and submit to a background check through State of NH Criminal Records Dept. and FirstAdvantage.
-Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (can be obtained)
-Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

-Menu planning
-Record keeping
-Purchasing of food supplies and paper products
-Budget management
-Set-up and clean-up and administration of snacks and evening meals
-Assisting with the implementation of the Healthy Habits program with the Branch Director
-Other duties as assigned
