Riverbend Community Mental Health

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based mental health services in New Hampshire is seeking a part-time Custodian to join our talented facilities team.  The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 9AM to 5:30PM.  The work location will be in Penacook, NH at John H. Whitaker Place, an assisted care community residence.
 
As a Custodian, your primary goal is to provide a healthy, clean and safe environment for all employees, residents, and visitors. The starting pay range is $12.00 - $13.60 per hour.
 
Responsibilities
 
•Perform cleaning duties according to an established schedule and/or when visual inspection indicates cleaning is necessary.
•Perform light maintenance duties that may include small plumbing issues, ensuring all smoke detectors are in working order, maintaining clean walkable surfaces, and fixing minor damages that may occur in the residence. The winter months may call for a small amount of shoveling, and ensuring outside walkways are safe and salted.
•Keep an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies in your assigned location(s).
•Be knowledgeable about chemicals used for cleaning and follow recommended instructions for safe use.
•Perform security inspection before leaving facility.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year experience as a janitor or custodian in a commercial or institutional setting; three years of experience preferred.
• Good communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative.
