West Central Behavioral Health is looking to hire a clinician in our Claremont Child location. This position is 30 hours per week and is benefit eligible.  West Central is the nonprofit community mental health care provider for Sullivan County and the Upper Valley, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

As a clinician on our Child Team, you will be a member of a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will provide office-based therapy to adults living in the Sullivan County area as well as work with individuals with severe and persistent mental health concerns which may include addiction issues, relationship problems, impulsive and risk behaviors; including suicidal and self-harm, problems with stress management, low self-esteem and trauma.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in human services or mental health discipline
  • Eligibility for licensure by the State of New Hampshire helpful
  • 3-5 years' experience in mental health, preferably in crisis, but will consider training the right person

This position qualifies for the State of New Hampshire Loan Repayment Program (SLRP)

Responsibilities:
  • Work with individuals and families to promote optimum mental health
  • Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans and goals.
  • Counsel clients individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes.
  • Support family members to assist them in understanding, and helping their child.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Regularly attend and participate in Team and Staff meetings. Function as a treatment team member and contribute to team and site program decision-making.
  • Provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally, at a quality level that meets or exceeds the standards set forth by WCBH.
  • Manage case referrals and assignments, coordinating client care needs with other team members to ensure effective and optimal care.
  • Assist clients to gain insight, define goals, and plan action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
