Program Manager

Court Appointed Special Advocates of NH

CASA is a statewide nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteer Guardians Ad Litem to advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children. The Program Manager coaches and supports Peer Coordinators and CASA Guardians ad litem Advocates to oversee and implement the direct service of the CASA Program. The open position is part-time with benefits and will operate out of our Berlin and Colebrook offices. More information at www.casanh.org/jobs.

Requirements:
  • Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers
  • Ability to conduct trainings
  • Excellent oral & written skills
  • Knowledge of juvenile court/child welfare system
  • Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities to the program

  •  Assists in recruitment of Advocate/ volunteers & Peer Coordinators
  •  Assists in interviewing & screening Advocate applicants & Peer Coordinators
  •  Assists in training of Advocates  & Peer Coordinators
  •  Ensures all court case data and files are accurate and up to date
  •  Acts as liaison to court personnel, Division of Children Youth & Families (DCYF) and other strategic partners
  •  Identifies with Program Director a specialty interest to pursue to support the CASA program
  •  Coordinates and participates in volunteer support groups & in-service trainings
  •  Attends volunteer recognition events for CASA/gal Advocates
  •  Attends CASA functions and fundraisers when necessary
  •  Adheres to all policy, protocol, and procedures adopted by CASA of NH

Responsibilities to the CASA/gal Advocate

  • Ensures all CASA advocates adhere to all New Hampshire program standards, National CASA standards and NH Guardian Ad litem board court rules
  • Responsible for matching cases to appropriate volunteer, according to the needs of the case & special skills or knowledge of the volunteers
  • Remains available to assigned volunteers for individual coaching & support on no less than, a monthly basis
  • Maintains up to date monthly supervision data in CASA data base
  • Reports all monthly supervision data quarterly or, on an as needed basis to a Program Director
  • Ensures that all court reports prepared by CASA/GAL’s are typed, edited, reproduced & delivered within the statutory time frames to the court and all relevant parties
  • Coordinated case coverage during absence of volunteer or during process of assignment or reassignment
  • Helps to ensures confidentiality
  • Conducts performance evaluations of assigned volunteers

Responsibilities to the Peer Coordinator (volunteer)

  • Provide coaching and support to assigned Peer Coordinators and oversee their work on their ongoing CASA cases
  • Meet with Peer Coordinator to review cases for CASA Advocate
  • Provide coaching, support and motivation as necessary to maintain and enhance the support CASA Advocates receive
  • Meet bi-weekly with Peer Coordinator to determine and discuss CASA Advocate & their cases
  • Review CASA cases with Peer Coordinator quarterly or more frequently as needed
  • Conduct 60-day and annual Support Reviews for Peer Coordinators
  • Notify Peer Coordinators of conferences, seminars and meetings as appropriate
  • Support your Peer Coordinators by attending the volunteer appreciation events
  • Consult with Program Director regarding CASA Advocate or Peer Coordinator performance concerns
