Student Services Coordinator

Mill Falls Charter School

Mill Falls Charter School is New Hampshire’s first Public Montessori School. Launched in the fall of 2012, the school is open – tuition free – to New Hampshire students in grades K-6. Located in Manchester, Mill Falls brings together children of all backgrounds and learning styles in mixed-age classrooms that merge the Common Core Curriculum with the individualized and academically integrated Montessori approach. 

Manchester is New Hampshire’s largest and most diverse city. Located about fifty miles north of Boston, Manchester is home to approximately one hundred ten thousand people and has a rich immigrant history. Diversity is a core value at Mill Falls, and the school seeks to tap into the area’s rich and diverse cultural and economic frameworks, as we continue build our student population and community connections.


Position Type: part-time

Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work alongside trained Montessori educators and with our innovative methodology;
  • Trained with research based teaching methods such as OG and Wilson
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Appreciation for student diversity including learning, experiential, cultural & economic differences;
  • An open mind and sense of humor.

Mill Falls is seeking a Special Education certified teacher skilled at organizing all aspects of student support and services. This part-time position will include case management and student advocacy at Special Education meetings. Supervised by the Educational Program Director, the Student Services Coordinator would also assist in RTI support, coordination and monitoring of services delivered by the service providers as well as support IEPs as necessary. Certification in Wilson a plus. A minimum 3 years of Special Education work required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 
  • NH Special Education Certification K-12;
  • It is preferred that candidates be trained with research based teaching methods such as OG and Wilson, and be team-oriented, flexible and creative. Experience with Elementary School aged students with disabilities preferred.
