Therapist - Child

West Central Behavioral Health is looking to hire a clinical therapist for our Lebanon Children's location. West Central is the nonprofit community mental health care provider for Sullivan County and the Upper Valley, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

As a therapist on your team, you will provide individual, family and group therapy for children from a broad range of ages and presenting diagnoses. Come work as a member of a cohesive, multidisciplinary team.  Current openings in both Lebanon, NH and Claremont, NH.


Master's Degree in mental health discipline
Prefer eligibility for licensure by the State of New Hampshire
Experience working with children in a mental health field

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment recommendations
  • Medication management
  • Providing psychiatric guidance to your team
  • Supervision of psychiatry residents
  • Participation in home-based call rotation
  • Work closely with program director to develop and provide high quality services
  • Provide continued management of psychotropic medication for agency clients, working closely with other involved clinicians to ensure smooth continuation of care
  • Provide consultation to primary clinicians and case managers regarding diagnostic and treatment recommendations, evaluation and follow-up related to medical questions, appropriate psychiatric input in evaluations for the courts, disability, commitment and local hospital physicians
  • Teach and provide clinical supervision of fellows, residents, medical students, staff and psychology and social work interns as arranged.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with other psychiatrists
