Psychiatrist - FT or PT

For 40 years, West Central has provided community based mental health care provider for New Hampshire's Sullivan County and the Upper Valley. 

Newly expanded position for either a full or part-time Psychiatrist.

We are looking for an office-based Psychiatrist for our Adult Program. West Central Behavioral Health is the nonprofit community mental health car provider for Sullivan County and the Upper Valley, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, serving individuals with trauma-related conditions, including PTSD, borderline personality disorder and dialectical behavior therapy.

West Central is affiliated with Dartmouth Medical School Department of Psychiatry and a site for clinical research studies through Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and New Hampshire Psychiatric Research Center. This position is located at Rivermill facility in Lebanon, NH.

This position qualifies for the New Hampshire State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment recommendations
  • Medication management
  • Providing psychiatric guidance to your team
  • Supervision of psychiatry residents
  • Participation in home-based call rotation
  • Work closely with program director to develop and provide high quality services
  • Provide continued management of psychotropic medication for agency clients, working closely with other involved clinicians to ensure smooth continuation of care
  • Provide consultation to primary clinicians and case managers regarding diagnostic and treatment recommendations, evaluation and follow-up related to medical questions, appropriate psychiatric input in evaluations for the courts, disability, commitment and local hospital physicians
  • Teach and provide clinical supervision of fellows, residents, medical students, staff and psychology and social work interns as arranged.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with other psychiatrists
