Certified Pharmacy Technician-Harbor Care Health and Wellness Clinic

Full-Time Postion.

Come join our exciting new on-site Pharmacy and assist the pharmacist-on-duty with providing medication and other health care products to patients and consumers. You will perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication to include data entry into the pharmacy computer system, counting/measuring medications and labeling bottles.  Outreach and administrative duties such as answering phones, stocking shelves and operating cash registers will also be performed by the Technician. 

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional:

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Proficiency in using computers
  • Be of good moral character
  • Shall not have been convicted of a drug-related felony or admitted to sufficient facts to warrant such findings
  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow preferred, but will train
  • Registered with NH Board of Pharmacy or eligible to be registered
  • Annually complete a NH board of pharmacy approved data entry module.
     

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Be well-organized, flexible
  • Be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds
  • Able to work independently and in collaboration with others
     

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the pharmacist-in-charge, the incumbent performs the following functions:

  • Processing of refill request orders
  • Retrieving prescription files, patient files and profiles and other such records pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
  • Verifying prescriptions for completion and accuracy
  • Data entry of prescription orders
  • Counting, weighing, measuring, pouring and reconstitution of prescription medications
  • Collecting, organizing, and evaluating of patient information and the management of medication distribution. The pharmacy technician will be given the task of preparing, dispensing, distributing, and administering medications under the direct supervision of the pharmacist on duty.
  • Stocking and taking inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Ensuring absolute accuracy and precision in both the technical and clerical aspects of the job to ensure patient health and safety.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of employee, legal, client/patient, budget, and all company matters.
  • Performing similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
