Senior Staff Accountant

New opportunity in an expanding Finance Department

Experienced Accountant with Supervisory Background

Working closely with and under the direction of the CFO, this position performs a variety of general ledger accounting duties, accounting support functions and payroll responsibilities to include the supervision of two staff accountants.


Position Requirements include:
•BA/BS degree in Accounting
•5 years of related experience (non-profit experience preferred)
•Prior supervisory and training experience

Position responsibilities include:
•Training and supervision of staff accountants
•Timely reporting of monthly financial statement data and related entities
•Maintain general ledger analysis and reconcile bank statements
•Assist CFO as the finance liaison for Agency staff by addressing inquiries raised in regards to needs for financial data as it relates to grant applications and general inquires.
•Prepare external financial reporting
•Maintain Agency fixed asset tracking system.
•Confirm with the Chief Financial Officer if internal control violations. are suspect
•Assist with the preparation of the Agency’s annual State and internal operating budgets as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
•Assist the CFO with the annual external audit.
•Support payroll functions of the Agency to include semi-monthly payroll functions as needed
