New Position

Experienced Accountant with Supervisory Background

At the direction of the Chief Financial Officer the Accounting Manager oversees the accounting functions of the Agency inclusive of financial reporting and annual audit management.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree inn Accounting
  • 5 years accounting experience preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Past supervisory experience
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and ensure timely reporting of monthly financial statement data for West Central and related entities with the publishing of internal financial statements by the tenth business day of the month for the previous month.
  • Supervise, hire, and train the Accounting staff.
  • Maintain all general ledger analysis and reconcile bank statements in a timely manner on a monthly basis.
  • Serve as a finance liaison for all Agency staff by addressing inquiries raised in regards to needs for financial data as it relates to grant applications and general inquires.
  • Prepare external financial reporting in conformity with external specifications for various groups and organizations as warranted or scheduled.
  • Maintain Agency fixed asset tracking system.
  • Assess and inform the Chief Financial Officer of any internal control violations.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Agency’s annual State and internal operating budgets as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Manage the annual external audit. Prepare audit schedules and serve as a liaison with the audit firm.
  • Support payroll functions of the Agency and perform semi-monthly payroll functions as needed to cover for the absence of the Payroll Administrator.
