Harbor Homes is a non-profit community-benefit organization that provides low-income, homeless, and disabled New Hampshire community members with affordable housing, primary and behavioral health care, employment and job training, and supportive services. As a member of the Partnership for Successful Living, Harbor Homes offers a unique, holistic approach to care that results in better outcomes for our clients and the community.


As an integral part of our dental staff, our Dentist will be responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventive dental care in our outpatient clinic as part of the larger FQHC, Harbor Care Health and Wellness Center. This position reports to the Medical Director and Program Manager.

Current New Hampshire State License to practice dentistry and D.E.A. Certificate required. Up-to-date Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR, BLS) required. Graduation from an accredited dental school (DDS or equivalency). Completion of an accredited general practice residency program preferred. Knowledge of public health principles and practices essential. Must be aware of and adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations and must be an active participant in safety measures for ensuring confidentiality of information as it relates to clients and this agency.

Responsibilities include examining individuals requesting care, diagnosing conditions, carrying out treatments, educating patients, recording patient-dentist transactions, and completing referrals in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines. Accountability for personal full compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules, regulations, protocols and procedures. Assists in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job-training, and the orientation of staff and graduate students as requested.

This position may qualify for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. This program offers student loan repayment in exchange for 2 years of serving in a community-based site within a high-need HPSA; which that has applied to and been approved by the NHSC as a service site.
